Tamiko N. Smith

LL.M, M.B.A., LL.B

Tamiko Smith is a Jamaican attorney and internationally trained legal professional with over sixteen years of experience advising individuals, developers, and property owners on complex property-related matters, including strata and homeowners’ association disputes, breaches of agreements for sale, multi-property transactions, and real estate-driven litigation.

She was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2009 and currently leads the litigation and compliance practices at Smith, Afflick, Robinson & Partners, where she is known for providing clear, strategic guidance on legally and factually complex disputes.

Before co-leading Smith, Afflick, Robinson & Partners, Tamiko served as Head of Litigation at RamsaySmith and previously as a Senior Associate at Frater, Ennis & Gordon, where she built a strong reputation for advocacy, legal analysis, and client-centred service.

  • Tamiko holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, in addition to a Master of Business Administration from Victoria University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the West Indies. This combination of legal and business training allows her to approach client matters with both legal precision and commercial insight.

    Tamiko is committed to mentorship and access to justice and has served as an Associate Tutor at the Norman Manley Law School Legal Aid Clinic, supervising students in client advocacy and case preparation. She is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association and the Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship and has contributed to youth development through the Y.U.T.E. programme.

    Her leadership is grounded in rigorous legal analysis, strong professional relationships, and a focus on delivering practical, durable outcomes with the highest standards of professional integrity.

Aleathia Afflick

BSc, MSc, LLB

Practice Areas include: Family Law, Civil Litigation, Conveyance Law and Wills & Estate Planning.

Aleathia has a BSc and a MSc from the University of the West Indies and had obtained her LL.B from the University of London. In addition to being an Attorney-at-Law, she is also a qualified Network Engineer and a Justice of the Peace.

Aleathia has over a decade of court experience and provides community support services as a Justice of the Peace.

Marcia Robinson

BSc, MBA, CITA, LLB,

Practice Areas include: Mediation, Criminal Litigation and Conveyance Law.

Marcia obtained her LL.B from the University of London and thereafter began her legal career in litigation and mediation. Marcia served as the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology contributing to the development of future legal professionals. In addition to her academic contributions, Marcia is also a certified Parish Court Mediator.

Zoya Edwards-Vassell

Practice Areas include: Civil and Criminal Litigation, Conveyance, Divorce & Family Law, Personal Injury, Debt Recovery, Landlord and Tenant and Wills and Estate Planning Zola obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies School.

In 2019. In 2021, Zoya was awarded a Certificate of Legal Education and was named the most Outstanding Student in the Legal Aid Clinic (2020-2021) by the Council of Legal Education. She was admitted to practice at the Jamaican Bar in 2021.

Zoya is on the roster of Legal Aid Duty Counsels for Kingston & St. Andrew.
